Hey-hey-hey, and a very merry day
to you. I just realised that you'd been being extra-nice to me and thingys and I hadn't really talked to you, so I thought I'd pop by to inform you that, in case you hadn't noticed, you are now on my Friends list.
(So ya like David Gray, do ya? Ever heard "The Thrills"?)

Fnord!!! you ARE real!!
Yes, David Gray, have all his stuff.
No, I've never heard the Thrills...fill me in...
John Mayer has an excellent CD 'Room for Squares'...Have you heard it?
I love music
The Cure...I'd die for....best concert-Radio City Music Hall here in New York...No distortion...Awesome...good seats too!
So Fnord, where ARE you from? I understand you have some issues at home.
My daughter, 27, just married in June, my son 31, still "looking for himself"....I dunno...whatever... Lou always had a problem with "authority". A 'good' kid....but if you saw him from age 19 to 25, he'd scare ya'....Real PUNK!!! He's had blonde, blue, green, orange, red, and purple hair....did I miss any? Blue looked best (hee hee). Mohawk spiked up about 8 inches...yeah real scary...one time we were on the train together...people would come on and walk to the other side of the car! They should only know...he's as sweet as can be...but then only his mom would know that....
anyway...he's rebelled against just about everything I could think of (got that from his Mom) refused to work in a place where he couldn't be "himself". "Himself" being as described above....Ah well....
He's grown up a bit since those days...He has a decent job, in an art supply store...still wears the leather, piercings - ears, nose, tongue, and who knows...he toned down the hair............a bit...
When he was 16, I had no problem with him (so I thought)....But he did NOT like school (again, like his mom)..I used to drive him to school (because I knew he wouldn't voluntarily go) drop him off in front...watch him go in...and guess what? He would walk out the other door! (Ah....That's a tough one).
Anyway, My kids are great!....No drugs....although my son has been known to down a few beers....He's not violent, and he's very artistic....you know how the artist types are.....
Anyway, I'm here if you want to rant....or anything.....consider me
your little .

Yup, as real as you are, or perhaps slightly less.
Oh, the Thrils are GREAT. They're really new, though, and they're British. Came along about a month ago. But they are GREAT. I haven't heard any John Mayer, but I'll look for some of his music.
I'm from England. Have had a few issues at home, yeah, but mostly all sorted out now.
Your son sounds like a very individual (and scary) person, and very interesting. I like learning things, but I hate school and the system which you have to do it in, which is a bit of a downside to someone who wants to get to Uni.
(I'm surprised he got a job at all looking like that. They're really strict about appearance and that kind of thing when you're a teenager looking for a job on this side of the channel)
I know how arty types are, yeah. Generally they're arty kind of types

Hey Fnord!
Glad to hear your issues at home are sorted out.
Having problems with the family could be a real pain....
I've had my share with my mom....but it all usually works out in the end.
Tell me more about the Thrills. Exactly what kind of music is it?
Do they sound like anyone else I might know?
John Mayer is on the same track as David Gray...not too loud, good acoustic stuff...great lyrics...he has an appealing voice...it doesn't make you crazy after only two songs!
I'm glad to hear you like to learn...an open mind is a good mind.....Don't ever change....just evolve....
