I feel sick
The Duke of Dunstable Started conversation Mar 14, 2010
Somebody we all love is in trouble. He told me he was ok, but tonight he's not answering my tweets. Simultanously, sombody we both know tweets that one of his close friends has died. Now, it looks as though our mutual friend is online on skype, but he doesn't return any of my pathetic cries. It's half an hour past midnight, so I have not the guts to call him. what shall I do?

Ok, this other friend now says that I have met this friend who has died, but that he doesn't want to say more at the moment, in case other friends don't have the news. This has all the markings to becoming a very sad day.

I feel a bit helpless here but I am thinking positive things about you and hope that you can regain connection with your friend.

Thanks Vestie. I have indeed got contact with him and he's as fine as circumstances permits. But on the sadder side, the fellow who did pass away was a friend of his too. I only met him once, at a screening of the h2g2 movie in London in 2005. Terrible loss. I would tell you who it is, but I'm not sure his friends, family and colleagues have all been told yet.
