h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

 Today I got to work and my boss was no where to be found. (Quite a common occurance) and I didn't have anything to do. So I st in my little chair and twiddled my thumbs a bit. I examined my chipping nail polish and I wished that I had put a clear coat on top of the nail polish (that keeps it from chipping quite so easily, just for future reference.) Then I noticed I have a bit of glitter underneath the thumb nail on my left hand. I tried to get it off, but it's quite adhesive, and after a minute or so I lost interest. Then I thought to myself "you're pathetic, don't you have anything better to do than examine your manicure?" So I looked around the desk to see if my boss had left me a note, or something for me to do, then low and behold, what did I discover? I left my computer on yesterday! The thought breifly crossed my mind that my boss had come to work, discovered the forgotten computer and went to go tell the electric company to transfer the power from that computer to my personal bill, and got hit by a car in the process. Then I dismissed that idea because it's always horrible to think of people gettting hit by cars (even if they're your boss) and I played Minesweeper instead. It's a good thing too, because my boss didn't return for 40 minutes and I would have found so many flaws in my nails by that time I may have been driven to suicide. But just think, I got paid for playing Minesweeper for 40 minutes (less the time taken out for self-manicure evaluation) which brings me to my dream job. Minesweeper Player. Fun, eh?
