So I had one of those dreams the other night - one where I show up for a test and it slowly dawns on me that I don't know the material, and then the realization grows to encompass that I hadn't even been to class once in the semester. In the dream I was my age now - well out of school, mind you - but the class was 10th grade biology - same teacher, classmates, classroom, everything.
That was trippy. Time warp, gotta love it

LOL!
I sooo remember a frequent similar dream. On the college campus, running from class to class, realising I had hardly attended any of it and was the only one there (in each class) who had no idea what the material was. Oh, I hated that dream - it continued for years after college.
Hmmm, 10th grade biology - I had a teacher I had a crush on.
Gosh I've missed you around here. Are you back for good? And please - what city are you in now? (I just feel it's not Honolulu - too bad!)

LOL! Kate, I have the EXACT same dream about once a month or so. Actually, there's two versions... In the first, I'm in a high school I've never seen before, juggling way more classes than a 16 year old should be, when I suddenly realize that I've missed about a semester's worth of one class or another. It's usually either English or Latin. Anyway, I think I spend most of this dream trying to explain why they should let me pass the class despite the fact that I hadn't sat in for one single day.
Hmmm.
The other dream is the same as above, complete with deep-down sinky feelings, only it takes place in my Freshman (college) US History class on finals day after I'd forgotton I'd enrolled in the class in the first place. I spend most of this dream trying to borrow other people's notes (the b*****s!) and generally freaking out.
Hmmm.
I think it has something to do with being an over-achiever and having a fear of failure.
