One day you're on a beach, busy being twenty-something, talking to people you've only just met in person and getting a nasty sunburn, having no idea where you'll be this time tomorrow...
And then tomorrow comes and you're signing contracts that determine the next year of your life, you're buying cars, car insurance, standing in line at the RMV wondering why they can't just call it the DMV like everyone else, thinking about houses and hoping you don't get old so fast that you forget to have kids, or look the way you want to look, or feel the way you want to feel.
In other words, it's been a very strange day.

Houses? Contracts? Kids? Sounds like real life to me! My maker, Kate, you don't want to be doing that if you can possibly avoid it!
I don't think I've ever stopped being twenty-something, even when I was only fifteen... There's a rather good Simon and Garfunkel song you need to listen to about now, as do I, which begins with the words "Slow down...".
To all of you guys (that means you, CO, as well as anyone else who happens to bump into the forum), come around to my page and give me some input on an article I decided to write last night about something of importance to me:

You know what Kate? I'm feeling the same way. I'm moving countries, but I'm moving countries to start being a settled person.
I had a strange epiphanic weekend too.
I'm still thinkin' about it.
