A Conversation for Brisbane, Australia
Brisbane

Well ... Hobart more ridiculed than Brisbane: ridiculous!! Seriously, Brisbane has become the "boom town" of Australia - more coffee shops, as said, more people moving there, more building, more culture ... and correspondingly, more expensive as the years go on. House and rent prices are now on the way to Melbourne, though not quite at the exhorbitant Sydney rates. BUT the main point is that it is called Australia's Most Livable City for a reason - it is a great laied back place to live. The fact that I don't currently live there (I live in Hobart, but lived in Brisbane before that) should only be taken to mean that I personally find it too hot(!) Others like the heat.
Brisbane (another way to leave)

Another way to leave Brisbane without resorting to the unfortunate truck driving method is to listen to the local comunity radio station.
The station is 4zzzfm and at some stage during the day anounce lifts available in vehicles travelling all over Australia
