A good Friday
aka Bel - A87832164 Started conversation Dec 5, 2008
Today was quite a good day, work- and otherwise.
It started with one customer thanking me for my advice and telling another customer that we (especially I) provided the best customer service and advice and that she comes 'uphill' because of that (she has another health-food-shop much nearer to where she lives).
Not long after that, another of our customers, an old lady, came to tell me that I had forgotten to charge her an item two days ago. I hadn't, she only hadn't seen it on her receipt, but it was a lovely gesture, and she had specifically come today and waited until nobody else was around, so as not to make me look bad in front of my colleagues/boss.
So there, that really makes up for the few customers who always find something to complain about (and usually it's things we can't influence anyway, like goods we order not being delivered).
The boss let us choose which of the photos of the team we took a week ago will go on our revamped homepage once it's ready, and I managed to upload it to my emails - it's a really good one.
I had some nice comments on my Random Ramblings and on what I said in the Post Top Nine Moments, and to see that numerous articles have got comments is great anyway.
I'm still in awe of the fantastic blob Rich created for the Acrostic poems - anybody else cares to join PBS and myself writing them?
And then Rich left me the keys to the Post Office while he's away on his jollies in la bella Espagna.
(No, lil, I'll not allow you to press any buttons.)
So, all in all a good day for me (disregarding the frequent disconnects I get which make editing a nightmare).
A good Friday

It was a good day for me too, because I read the nice things you wrote about my Eurovision drivel.
Thanks, hon.

Awww, you're welcome.
They were/are the ones standing out for me, as I always have so much fun during the discussion but you know how it is: with so many people simposting, I usually miss a lot. It's wonderful you take the time to write it all down and publish it in the Post, I really appreciate it.

Sorry mini and GB, that's the disconnects I mentioned: It can take me a while to get a post sent.
mini, I look forward to your getting your o back.
GB, I agree, it's always nice to have feedback, and it's even nicer if it's positive.

It has NOT been a good day for me but you will have to see my journal to find out why.

Copy and paste, mouseling, copy and paste!
Sounds like a really day, Bel! I'm sure the compliments were well-deserved, but it must be nice to be given them, anyway!

Well at least someone had a good Friday. Mine started off ok. Went to the last Art for Life course, that was ok. Had confirmation the course will resume in January so that was good. Got back home about 12.30. Found all my course materials for the PC Technology course I start in Feb. had arrived. That was also good. I make a sit down to read through the material and bang! We have yet another power cut. As everything here is electric I then spend the next 6 plus hours with no light, no heat, no way to make a drink or a meal. Lil phoned and during our chat the Life line alarm system rudely interupted our call. Basically if it's without power for a certain length of time it triggers the alarm and if I'm on the phone at the time, (as I was on this occasion), it will override the call and the emergency operator will come on the line. I had to get Lil to phone me back while I cancelled the alarm otherwise I'd have had the police and an ambulance outside the door within 8 minutes!
By the time the power came back and the place had re-heated I called it a day and had an early night.
So far so good today. I'll have a look at the course materials and set the pc up in readiness for the next session in my pc world of training.
A good Friday

Shivers at the thought of no heating, at the thought of no PC.
Hope there won't be any more power cuts.
There were a few 'owns' to my Friday, too, but I decided to remain positive because we all know you can't have it all anyway.
A good Friday
Jhawkesby Posted Dec 6, 2008
That is the best thing to do Bel.
Stay positive.
I try to look at the positive things of my day so I just remember that. They say that if you laugh at anything that bad has happened it should go away.
A good Friday
