It's weird, I meant to switch the Pc off but never made it, and it seems to get better instead of worse after a while.

sorry to read about that problem - it is always annoying if things don't work (and since it seems to be a problem in your family if you need something that is doubly bad)

Next step - try a different monitor on your PC?

If the monitor is fine with another PC, I guess it must be my PC that's faulty. It's an old, slow PC, working at its limits to run with Windows XP, and all the components (except the hard drive I bought not too long ago) are very old.
I'm still here, though, and trying to get as much Post stuff done as is possible. The team is great and very supportive, which is fantastic.

Yes, but you could always try it out...
, anyway!
I need to do a clean install of Windows here, too.

I'm on my son's PC now. My PC got worse, it wouldn't even start properly in the end, I had to reset it.

Oh Dear, Bell,
Thank goodness for sons eh!! My two have just left having cooked lunch and washed up for us. It's Fathers Day but I think mother got the best of the deal this time. I hope you are managing and not finding things too stressful.

WEll, I don't have my shortcuts and favourites - yet- but there is another interesting thing: my internet connection was very ddgy on my PC - and it's fine here. No interruptions. Maybe I should try to get a slightly newer model in the long run. I can even listen to music again without the sound being distorted every few seconds.
Good job I had enough time to save all the vital things online, so I have access to them from whichever PC I happen to use.

I bet that's a relief. I delayed updating my computer for years, for various reasons, but I really wish I had done it sooner. I think the speed etc. has cut down on my electricity use, so the new one is not working out as expensive in the long run. I can do things in seconds now which used to take 15-20 minutes I can't believe I put up with it for so long.

I never felt the need for a very fast PC, although my PC works at snail's 'speed' compared to this one.
