"Poor aul' Jamie" was a favourite saying of my grandmother's. Simple, effective and full of love and meaning to those who looked into it any further than a way to get the child in question to stop crying before his mother got back from the shop. Sadly, my nanny passed away some three years ago now, and that one saying is the only thing I really remember of her.
Things have changed since. The mother in question has not yet passed away, but I passed on out of her life not yet a week ago, at the tender young age of seventeen.
Freedom! I find that freedom that actually includes any normal amount of freedom at all usually isn't the type of freedom that those who want freedom expect from being freed. Although the "prisoner" may feel that things could not get any worse, take away the warm bed, three square meals a day and all that free rent and you realise that freedom isn't all what its cracked up to be.
Freedom! Hah,yes. Freedom to starve, freedom to freeze and freedom to enjoy all those fantastic f**k-ups that happen all by yourself.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
