Hi Chris
Our paths don't seem to have crossed too much in The Shoppe recently so thought I'd just stop by and say hello I try not to stay too late during the week - I end up if I'm not careful then I'm like a next morning ...
How's things? Did you have a good Easter??? No doubt lots of golf seeing as how the weather was pretty good here so I'm assuming it was for you too Did you see your boys?
Well, if you feel like a chat sometime then drop me a line - if not then no doubt I'll catch up with you sooner or later in The Shoppe. Take care ...

Hi Karen ..
Only just found this thread ....
Yes Easter was thanks ..... I have been out on the golf course with my lad about 4 times in the last week ... mind you the last two times it has rained ..
How was Easter for you ???

hi Chris
no worries - thought you were probably lost on a golfcourse somewhere
Glad you had a good easter - mine was , nothing too exciting just some domestic stuff here with the girls Friday thru Sunday then they went off to their dad's for a couple of days which was also great - managed to get down the gym 3 days on the trot - just call me plankwoman - hoping my legs'll loosen up in time to go back tomorrow
You should be alright for golf this weekend - the weather forecast is really good, 18C on Saturday so they say!

Bit on the stiff side then eh ..... ..
Same for me ... too much exercise ... body cant cope as well as it used to ...
Nice bit of peace without the girls ??? or do you miss having them about ???
cooeeee
Researcher 1214535 Posted Mar 31, 2005
nah - the peace is just heavenly ... my youngest could talk the hind legs of a donkey, it's a constant stream of chat when she's about, so - lets just say it's nice when it stops - and the eldest is a bit of a drama queen - is it any wonder I'm going grey
I guess it's different when they're not about all the time tho - you must miss having your boys about ...

Billy60 ... Posted Mar 31, 2005
I make the most of them when I can ... Mind you I do feel I have missed a lot .... boys were 8 and 5 when I left and much as we all still get on and there havent been any problems ... its the little things I have missed out on ..like tucking them in at night ... being there when they come home from school/work .... day to day stuff
My Ex girls Daughter used to Talk non stop .... so I know what you mean ....

Mine were 10 and 7 by the time we actually split up - I can understand what you say about the day to day stuff - I feel sad for my ex sometimes when he comes round to pick the girls up and something gets mentioned which he obviously hasn't heard about ... it doesn't seem right somehow - he's like you tho, he sees loads of them but it's still the routine bits 'n' bobs he misses
Still, I think you have to look for the positive things - if you talk to my girls they say they are a lot closer to their dad now, they didn't see that much of him when we were together cos he was always at work. You obviously spend loads of time with your 2, so that's a good thing, a lot more than lots of dads/kids get

If I ever have any plans .... Cinema / Theatre / going out for a meal .. etc . I always ask them if they want to go ...
Dont see quite so much of my elder son these days ... but then he is working and has his g/f ... every now and then we get together though ... Just making the most of the youngest while I still can .. Hence the reason for so much Golf as its an interest we can both take part in ....
Do you do a lot with your Girls ???
cooeeee
Researcher 1214535 Posted Mar 31, 2005
well, I spose we don't *do* too much together these days, we have the odd shopping day out together but I spend most of my time dropping them here, there and everywhere. I think that's the way it is as they get older.
Actually - the youngest and I are planning a *family* day out at the farm for the next free weekend - we used to go a lot when they were little and so we're going to go back for 'old times sake" .... haven't broken it to the elder one yet, no doubt it'll require a complete makeover and a new outfit at least
So, how come you always work nights?
cooeeee
Billy60 ... Posted Mar 31, 2005
The Factory wanted a 24 hour running system and we were offered the oppourtunity of working Permanent Nights ... I love it .... gives me loads of spare time .
It may well have cost me my last relationship though .... G/F didnt like the fact I was only sleeping at home 2 or 3 nights out of 7 .
I did offer to change my shifts but I think it was a little too late ..
So I am on my own ... I work nights ... I do as I want ... But you know what ... I would still give it all up to have somebody to snuggle up to at night ... thats the only time I find hard .... too occupied to worry about it through the day
cooeeee
Researcher 1214535 Posted Mar 31, 2005
I guess that kind of routine can be hard on any relationship really
Yep, I know what you mean - being on your own has lots and lots of compensations (no sport on the tv in my case ) but it's definitely a bit lacking in the department ... gets to you once in a while don't you find??
cooeeee
Billy60 ... Posted Mar 31, 2005
I may go weeks on end without giving a thought to being on my own ... Then just once in a while I will have a low day or two ...
On the whole I quite a happy chappy really ..... not much gets me down .... and who knows one day somebody may just delve deep enough to find the nice bloke left inside ..

You sound just fine to me - you have to believe that there is that perfect somebody out there for all of us, just my luck that I usually get the complete b*****ds

Seems to be a female trait picking the bad uns ... ... then I suppose they are more fun than the Good uns ?? ...
Are you seeing anybody at the moment ??? .... dont feel you have to answer that if you dont want to .... just my nosy side
cooeeee
Researcher 1214535 Posted Mar 31, 2005
hmmm, there is a certain kind of attraction to the bad boys ....
I don't mind you asking - I'm not seeing anyone right now, had one or two knocks over the last couple of years and I'm not sure I feel like risking it again just yet - the old confidence is a bit dented if you know what I mean
how 'bout you?? (and you can also tell me to bog off if you like )
cooeeee
Billy60 ... Posted Mar 31, 2005
Nope dont mind at all ..... Single and no change on the Horizon ..
Truth of the matter is ... self confidence down as well ...
Dont know how much you have picked up since you have been here ... but basically I lost ALL my hair ... apparently through Stress ... and I mean 'ALL' ... ..
My Pic is in the h2g2 Gallery along with my lads ..... And I still feel the same inside .... but when I look in the mirror its hard to imagine anybody wanting what I see .
cooeeee
Researcher 1214535 Posted Mar 31, 2005
I've seen your piccie in the gallery and you look just fine to me - but to some degree it's how you feel Inside that counts ... personally I have Never found hairy men attractive and I'm sure I'm not alone in that there's something about a nice smooth chest (mmmmmmmm) .... yes, anyway .... what I mean is, you've got nothing to worry about
anyway, honey, I've really enjoyed chatting with you tonight but to say I'm gonna have to go and get some sleep or I'll be a in the morning - hopefully catch up again very soon, be safe -
