Well, this Tuesday, my father leaves for New Hampshire. He was going to go to Iraq for three years, but he was extremely lucky and another job was offered. Granted, he still will not be home but he will be in Savannah (about four hours from us) as a home base. He'll be doing a lot of traveling, but it's better than sending a 50-yr-old man who happens to be my beloved da to Iraq.
Sherman seems to be on his way out again. He just has never been right since he had that head trauma, and time will tell whether or not he's really going to die this time. I think it's about the end because he's losing muscle mass in large amounts. We had to put him on a low dose of steroids because he seemed to be having allergy problems, but I am taking him off this week because I think that's why he's lost all of the flesh on his head. I've gotten two good years and one rough one out of him, but we'll just have to wait and see.
Uni has started and I love it. Classes are easier, or maybe it's the fact that I do more when nothing is *required* of me. I like being tested on my understanding instead of my regurgitation skills and I like the informal class instruction methods. I do, however, take great offence to the woman police officer who is harassing me. I have gotten two illegitimate parking tickets since school started three weeks ago and have documented everything. I am going to register a formal complaint against the neurotic woman as soon as that third one comes my way. I'm begging for it, as I want her head on a stick.
Nothing new, basically, except I have, yet again, entered the manic collage stage of my existence.

Bummer about your father and Sherman.
But yay for manic stages. I'm entering my senior year, which means that I have more work than ever but care less. So being careful about bedtimes, showing up to class even when I've been up too late, not destroying my dorm room are things that don't seem to matter any more. It's fun.

I guess that new hampshire is a lot better than iraq, unless a major war suddenly breaks out in new hampshire making it more dangerous (probability almost 0). Yeah sending da to iraq is not a good thing, i agree.
Poor pup! :'( Oh! I hope he gets better! If not he has lived a very nice existence for a dog.
Thats good, I like Uni, but its much like collage for me, which wasn't at all like high school. I like however having 2 days off a week. I don't park our car at my uni, but I probably will eventually, when i actually have my licensee for example. Heads on stick look nice in the dining room when entertaining barbarians.

Well, New Hampshire has a lot of nice barns. Sending mine certainly isn't a good idea, especially since they have to give you all of the toxins used in biological weapons and he's very susceptible to viruses and viral paralytics.
I won't have another dog of my own for awhile if he goes off soon. There is that problem when you raise a dog like your child.
Two days a week off, not counting the weekends? I have Fridays off, but that's only one day without the weekends... I have to drive in order to go to school, so I don't have much choice. Just watch out for the vicious campus police. I was thinking those heads on a stick would make a very nice addition to the sides of the mantle, actually.

It's good to hear your dad's not going to Iraq. He may still be away, as you say, but he'll be far safer, and presumably it'll be a lot easier to keep in touch with him.

Yes, there's something much nicer about phones versus satellite phones.
