So, what have I got done...
Userpage: latest beer ratings DONE
Userpage: detailed palates page DONE
Userpage: detailed matches DONE
Userpage: beer rating history DONE
I've also added the palate matching stuff to the brewery beers page and to the beer details page, and removed all the place holder text saying things like "user comment system to go here when built" and replaced it with a ? graphic.
I am noticing a few layout bugs here and there that I need to fix, and a few design flaws too. For instance the palate graph looks good on a plain white screen by itself, but with other stuff around it becomes de-focussed and hard to read easily, so I'll have to do something there.
I need to build up the user registration system now, and the bit that allows users to rate beers. Once that's done it'll be able to be tested by people generating new accounts. At the moment there's nothing much to see unless you already have an account, as the database I'm using is a bit old and doesn't have much content.
No rant today Not in a ranting mood, too tired I think. Might go make a cup of tea and read a book for a while, then on with some more coding!

The original (well, second incarnation) of the site is here, www.technoimbiber.co.uk , but the design, layout and content are almost totally different in the new version. The one that's currently there only deals with beers, their taste palates and matching them to users tastes. Thew new version contains pubs, beer festivals and industry news as well as forum style message boards (similar to here) for users to chat about breweries, beers, pubs, and whatever else takes their fancy.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Mar 24, 2006
will go ahve a look in a moment... Bit of a pub crawl last night with a friend who is in town on a course, some really nice Milton Habbit, and absolutely fantastic Milton Neuro (their stout), which had a fantastic choclate type aftertaste; which I think is best described by it being like the bitterness you get with really high coco content chocklate Great pint of Adnams oyster in another pub, Some Bishops farewell to die for in another and one I'd not heard of before called 'Topez' which was very nice, and several pints of Oakhams JHB in a few differnt pubs that went down very smoothly Some Entire Stout which was as good as useual, though probably I think the Milton stout has the edge flavour wise ... think we managed to catch a pint or two of summer lightening plus a few others that I regularly have in the pubs round here... the names of which escape me
