Which is of course just as important as a potato tradition. Though that one was also made better by the rough timing of the births matching the potato seasons. I think Jim is more "hysterical" (looking for diversions) than blase. Have you checked the properties of these cultivars to see if they match the properties of your children - eg matures early? Yellow skin and shallow eye depth might be more worrying, as would the warts.
