No need for any collective breath-holding though - at this stage with Isobel there was another 10 hours or so before she arrived, although naturally we're both hoping for a much faster delivery.
I'll post to Bernadette's thread with any more news.

Tango will be miffed if he's missed it. Not that Bernadette should stay in labour until he gets back. We were trying to work out how long there was to go just before he went abroad. I reckoned it had to be soon but we hadn't taken bets on the actual date.

I'm sure they do but Tango may not have access to it. If you'd finished the WAP phone interface he could probably have snaffled a phone from a passing HongKong-ite. They possibly have more gadgets there than anywhere else and are very into texting if the TV is to be believed.

Here's hoping all goes swimmingly for you.

Sorry - I know what WAP is, but didn't think there were any plans to re-instigate the on the move project.
Anyhow, it's hardly the most pressing issue at the mo!
Have you thought of any names yet?
Bernadette's in Labour
Jim Lynn Posted Jul 6, 2003
We have names, but since we don't yet know if it's a boy or a girl, I won't mention them yet.
You're welcome to place bets on the sex of the baby, though.

Why would you want to put cheesecake on a boy? Is this some strange human custom I haven't met before?

Rho Posted Jul 6, 2003
It's called 'gambling', SEF.
The University of Salford has a gambling course, if you'd like more information about this human practice. http://www.salford.ac.uk/course-finder/details.php?course=76

do you meet a lot of strange human customs?

No thanks, I'm one of the proponents of the "lottery is a tax on people who are bad at maths" theory. In this case I think it might be quite difficult for you and Jim to exchange cheesecakes were the bet to be accepted. Virtual ones perhaps but then we don't have a virtual/smiley baby. Ooh - naughty idea alert and I used the "spare" page...
