I think you actually need the butterfly.
As for the shop selling the solution book for twice as much as the game - I think that says more about the Videogames industry than anything else!

You definitely need the butterfly. However, it may need enticing with something - although I can't remember for sure at the moment. Having got the butterfly, it then has to be put in the lamp on the corner where the monk is. There is a help section for all the games, which can be found at: http://www.us.lspace.org/games/discworld/index.html . If that doesn't help, I don't know what will.

What the heck have butterflies got to do with anything this is a Terry Pratchett/discworld site. Hoorah. I Hoorah!!!!! love the Discworld books and I have just rented one of the games. by the way this is not Snakebite speaking.the names Marcus, Marcus carcus diddly arcus pancreas corneus ignatious ruddegur farley drakedson. I have kidnapped snakebite so he takes the bill.
P.S. as i have kidnapped snakebite please do not blame him for any rambling.

I apologise for the snap about butterflies. I could not be bothered to read the stuff above it. i will accept any punishment except being hung by my nostril hair.By the way, this is not Snakebite, this is still Marcus etc. Snakebite is undergoing torture a fate worse than death. Yes he has had two ferrets stuck down his trousers.
