Are we are getting like our dad,s

In the current debate at work about the radio play it became obvious that we are becoming like our dad,s most of my fellow work mates are all forty somethings and have children of our own.We where listneing to the evening show on radio 1 and Tony(whom I call Foggy after the chracter in Last of the Summer Wine)was saying that whilst watching TOTP2 he cringed at what he liked and his 11 year old son thought it was rubbish.Mad Mike(because his ok)was saying that it's hard to get into todays music.I said you have to half stoned to understand at least some of it.
It all goes to show that as each generation grows so the previous one forgets that it was once young.I do my best to keep with my childrens music of course I will be chuffed if they like heavy metal or guitar bands. So much of todays music is bland it reminds me of the early sixties when the music was soft and cuddly. So if music history repeats it,s self we could be in for a sea change in music.
Going back to half stoned I remember watching a Yes concert when Trevour Horn(Buggles?) was lead singer and sitting been between two people who where smoking dope so I knew what I was talking about.Nobody ever complains about getting secondary stoned only cancer from passive smoking.I have been to many concerts and sat or stood nearby dope smokers and it hasn't harmed me yet,I guess like Bill Clinton it's all right as long as you don't inhale.
