Big Brother loves you.

Yup, that's the kind of year I'VE been having. I love my GF dearly (and she puts up with me so well! smiley - winkeye), my friends are fantastic (shouts to Grace, Ali, Cecilia, Nikki, David, Maddy, Christina, The Psycho Twins, umm, and whoever I'm forgetting...), but with Bush in the white house, Ashcroft anointing himself with Crisco in homage to biblical kings, Rove (before they even adapt 1984 to film, we get a real-life BB), Hussein challenging Bush to a live, televised debate and all of my core teachers assigning major, work-intensive homework at the last minute, homework that I cannot see any remote point in (as well as a drama project, but that's frankly and admittedly my fault), I just don't know if I can keep my sanity until high school next year. I'm going to talk to the school counselor tomorrow, but mostly as an experiment. (This is a counselor that completely forgot a scheduled conference with one of my friends and her parents. She also suggested that my GF should "sleep on it and perhaps write a letter" after our vice-principal had seen her arguing and marched her into the counselor's office during the winter dance. After taking a long time to explain the complex and delicate problems of isolation, alienation and loyalty involved, this person's best advice was to find a way to make the situation even more awkward and embarassing. Eventually, the problem was solved with a few casual comments and the occasional glare.)

Rules
Don't do this
Don't do that
Listen to them
Behave yourself
Follow the rules

(not my work, but I don't recall whose. Google it!)

Society is defined as the acknowledgement of certain systems designed to afford the populace with the necessary illusions of signifigant control to create a general happiness amongst as many as possible. This is all for the purposes of artificially satisfying any desire for knowledge or wisdom so as to foster a culture of ignorance where rhetoric is considered substitute for reason.

And I'm glad to be back on h2g2 after quite a long time. If there's anyone I'd alienated during or since that time, I am truly sorry.

And I've taken everything off because it was, frankly, stupid.

You can still see the journal entries though. And I'll give you the last source backup of the original page if you're curious.

As always, I love getting mail. (I think I kept my first piece of spam, actually. Hmmm.) My now-public primary e-mail address is:

[email protected]

Thanks.
