Seems as if Driver's about to have a Baby!!!

Finally, 18 days after the Midwife diagnosed Latent Labour, we've had a show and some action. In two days time, I'm down for induction, but about I had my first period pain two hours after the show. At first, the period pain was strong enough to drown out the pain of the contraction, but the contraction pains (I'm guessing - I'm talking about a squeezing in my back that makes me want to stand up/sit down / crawl like a dog) are now big enough to pull tears from my eyes and make me cry out.

Unfortunately, they're still not regular. After such a long latent labour, I should be used to this, but it's very disappointing! Between 2:13 and 2:29 (in the morning, btw, I'm such a nightbird) I started four... but I slept after that, and woke at 3:40 - the first contraction took 7 mins to turn up, but since then they're roughly 5 minutely. Two things from that - first I think sleep, or certainly lying down, slows the contractions down (better than stopping them, after so long!) and second, I'm SO glad I didn't get my hubby to drive me to the hospital at 11pm! They're still only lasting a minute, and the last one took 6.5 mins to turn up, so I guess there's a way to go yet...

But these make the squeezes from 'Latent Labour' seem like such a breeze! I am such a woos - get me pain-relief NOW!!!

Here's hoping for a very quick drive down the last road of in utero Baby Driving...
