"Nature's Way of Preparing You For Sleepless Nights", they call it. Well, I'm certainly becoming well prepared - for about the tenth night in a row I'm up after four night's sleep! Put it this way - this kid is as demanding as anyone I know who's actually been born.

What sort of discrimination is it, to say that the child will only keep you awake after birth? This one hammers on my inside everytime I roll over from lying on my back. It knows what it wants, and The Mothership will rock the way it requires or The Mothership will know about it!

I have five weeks to go, and I've come on here to write a journal entry just so I can record the constant silent whinging of a child that wants to be "let out"! Just three weeks and I can start hoping for an early birth without difficulties, but currently Little Lungs are still developing (although Little Muscles are stronger than I'd expect a newborn's to be! Thump Thump Thump!)

If you're lucky, the baby will run out of space soon. They still kick a lot, but don't have room to get much force behind it.

Ooh, poor thing really doesn't have much room at the moment, judging by the way it's exploring my ribcage with its toes! It's not kicking as strongly as it was, just differently. It still doesn't like me lying on my side, though!

How are you doing? I saw you'd had False Labour the other day - when are you due? Someone due two days after me just went into hospital as her waters had broken - at 35+3 or something! That was a bit of a shock!

My poor hubby - he's now asking whether, if I go to bed at 11pm instead of 1am, I get up exactly four hours later - since the answer is yes, but I don't have any intention of staying up while the whole of the UK is asleep (except for the ones who are paid to be awakesmiley - smiley), I will continue to have late nights and get up at 5am!

Eek - just noticed a major typo in the first line of the original post of this journal! How could I be up after four nights' sleep? I assure you, gentle reader, that I had only had four hours' sleep - if I had slept for 96 hours, I would not be complaining (although I would probably be hungry and thirsty!)
