Well done - and what a huge baby! They say that intelligence is linked to birthweight, so I expect we'll see Beth posting here in record time. Any chance of pictures?
You'll have to come along to the parent and baby group and introduce her now - see you there?
Congratulations

Thank you! We've had our sticky moments today (milk not yet in, and what I'm producing is not enough for such a large little baby) but she's been sent to bed with a top-up of formula and I'm hoping for a good night's sleep!
Due to certain Lekz-ish events in the past, I'm loathe to put a link to photos on here, but I'd love to. Hope the description is enough - long-legged beauty with hampster cheeks (cute, though, not too big!) and a shock of black hair. She stares around and she's even focussing on my face & Daddy's at 5 days old! She's got a really strong neck, so she can lift her head & "woody woodpecker" at me when she wants feeding.
I'll certainly look for the Mother & Baby page when I get a moment - may be after Daddy goes back to work, though.

Congratulations

How's it going?
Of course, if you get any online time at this stage it's either just time to read but not post, or you should be sleeping and not online at all, so I don't expect an answer to this.
I really hope it's going well and that the milk is working now. Just remember that if it hurts it doesn't always mean you're doing it wrong, and that the pain and the 24 hour feeds both stop after about four weeks.
I hope that paragraph was mostly superfluous but I'm getting increasingly irritated by the misinformation given out by midwives and health visitors about breastfeeding; people who've never breastfed keep trying to tell me how to do it, although I've breastfed for more than three years without harming any of my children, and I know that alot of what I've been told is rubbish - sorry to rant about it.
Key: Complain about this post
Congratulations
