Our house, in the middle of our street
BouncyBitInTheMiddle Started conversation May 16, 2005
Well earlier this evening I decided to go ahead with a house I was looking at for next year. This is notable because:
I will be living with 5 girls.
I've only met 2 of them, and that was earlier today.
From halfway through '07 to halfway through '04 I didn't know any girls other than my sister.
I don't talk to my sister.
I'm paying a lot of money for a teeny tiny room.
Its in just about the best place possible for me, so I'm planning to recoup my expenditure with regular visits to the pool in the student union.
I'm planning to decorate my room with a mattress on the floor and lots of big cushions so I can pace about while I think. Possibly I could also put my computer on the floor and use it from the comfort of my bed. Lazy me.

Woo yay for that. I like the idea of computerizing from the bed. I've often dreamed of that.
(I now have that wretched song stuck in my head. Our house (our house) in the middle of the...AGH!!!)

My house for next year is so nice. Its done out like a london bachelor pad, but much nicer. Squee and its less than I pay now.

I think its mostly just the part of Bristol I'm in. If A is the student union, B is the row of arts faculty buildings and C is the big Sainsburies supermarket, and then my house will be roughly at the centre of triangle ABC . Meanwhile the Carling Academy (live music place for the Amerigos) and the town centre are under 5 minutes walk down the hill.

I take it "in the middle of our street" means something in Britain other than it would mean in the US--I get a picture of traffic going through your living room.
