Are Cube's still being produced?
Considering that they became a massive phenomenon, perhaps you should explore, briefly, why they achieved their success. Was it their apparent simplicity?
It's a regular occurance today for products to become established as playground 'fads' but what made Rubic's Cubes so enduring?
Maybe you could expand upon the the phrase 'pattern recognition'. Some people have never seen a Cube and won't know what patterns you mean, ie. the twists involved in moving a square from one position to another. It may be tricky to explain this concisely.
Perhaps mention that other goals in completing a Cube include making new multi-coloured patterns on the faces.
One other (pedantic) point: should 'Each side can slide 90 degrees' be changed to Each side can rotate 90 degrees?
