Anyway, welcome to h2g2! My name's Dr E Vibenstein (but you can call me EV, everyone else does). I'm one of the Assistant Community Editors, so if you need any advice on anything h2g2 related, feel free to ask!

As you may know, before his untimely death Douglas Adams was actively involved with the h2g2 site. It would be a fitting tribute if you could contribute something to the guide - try searching for some topics that interest you, and if there are no current entries on those topics, why not write one? If you're interested, have a look at the <./>writing-guidelines</.> page for an idea of what we're looking for.

Could be even worse, you could work for a credit control dept, like me! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you javert! (nice nickname by the way, from Le Mis?)

It is from Les Mis, my all time favourite Musical, seen it twice and have several versions of the Soundtrack.

Credit control does sound dull, but imagine having to chant '11 88 88' almost 700 times a day to, at best, uninterested and at worst downright rude people who don't know the name of the shop they want, then get abusive when it can't be found.

Still enough of this depressing talk, at least it pays the mortgage and keeps the wolf from the door.

Musical, Im in a brass band. My friend is a DJ on the internal radio station and decided to say that was my name instead of my real name. It had people guessing for a while! :o)
