A Conversation for 'Doctor Faustus' by Christopher Marlowe

Hi, Liviana here. I think I owe you a thank you. At the beginning of this year, I was assigned a research paper on a topic of my choice--I picked Christopher Marlowe. I'd been vauely interested in him for a while, and thought that a research paper would be a good excuse to learn more about him. I spent about two months online, but found little better than YOUR article. At least, no single website that had a more comprehensive, detailed, accurate (I did check you up on a bunch of things) biography of my favorite person in the universe. And your interpretations of the plays were awesome. I had to do a little of that in my paper, and I used yours as a pushing off point, and came back to them when I was stuck. (Go ahead, sue me for plagiarism--I'm sorry if that bothers you.) This paper took me five months (not counting the three years I spent on sporadic research on the Renaissance in general) and it wasn't graded--Mom had no idea if I was right about anything. I'm homeschooled.
So thanks for a stellar job. If you want, I could help you fill in the gaps in your article (example, there is an awful lot to be said about Dr. Faustus), though it appears that this pool has gone a bit stagnant. Tell me if you want to stir it up again. I'll post something on my own if I have to, but I think that it would be a lot better if we could do this together somehow.
And my resume? It says on my bio that I was recently made a fellow of the Massachusetts Center for Renaissance Studies (a Ph.D. library, mostly) because I knew a lot about Marlowe--and I'm fourteen. And I'm working on a novel about the man. Partly thanks to you.
Tuissimus,
~Liviana

Hi Liviana, thanks for your lovely message - I'm glad the Marlowe entries were of use to you! Apologies for the late reply - I've been caught up with work of late and haven't had much time for anything else... I hope you're still around and writing.
It would be great to finish off this Marlowe project - it's something that I've had lurking at the back of my mind to finish for a while now (an embarrassingly long time, to tell the truth!) so I'd be more than happy for you to contribute in any way you wanted. If you would like to write an entry for Faustus, that would be great.
Anyway, hopefully you're still lurking out there somewhere - thank you again for the feedback!
Caregan
PS - I'm glad you double-checked me, you wouldn't believe how many contradictions and errors in on-line sources I found when I wrote these! Always double-check - that's my motto now!

Ach, this took awhile! This is liviana, only I lost all contact with my account for various completely avoidable reasons, and now have a new one.
I might start drafting an article on Faustus, heaven knows I have time, and I love the play to death. I'll let you know. I'm now working on revamping that paper I talked about for use in a contest--wish me luck.
Hope you're still lurking, too...And merry Christmas, or happy Hannukah, or what have you.
Yours truly,
~LN
