I just wanted to say hi. The last couple of times I've been back on the Guide you seemed to be inactive.

Life's good for me, but I've been so busy with school (I'm in university now) that I haven't had much time for hootoo and probably won't be very active here until winter break. I'm trying to check in occasionally, but I haven't really been able to be a regular presence or keep up with what's going on.

School'a going well, but it's a lot of work and math class isn't going particularly well--I'm just not any good with proofs.

How is life going for you?

I'm in uni, too, but unlike you I have a *lot* of time to spend on things like Hootoo smiley - smiley I'm doing Philosophy and English, but I'm finding Philosophy too easy, and English too boring, possible even considering dropping out to travel the world smiley - bigeyes

So what are you majoring in? I hope I'm using the term correctly smiley - smiley

You're using the term correctly--apparently that's one that doesn't have different definitions in the US and Britain.

I don't have to declare a major until the end of third term (in June). At the moment I am thinking of majoring in either chemistry or physics. I might attempt a double major, but I'm told that a double major in those two subjects is especially hard. The university I'm in is in California, so it is on the other side of the country from where I grew up (and where my parents still live) (I'm from Maryland, just outside Washington, DC.). Besides getting used to living in a dorm, the weather here is very strange--it is November and today's high is supposed to be 75 F (about 21 C); back home it would be a good bit colder and I'd probably have to wear a coat outside.

I am hoping to have a webpage with some photos from uni put together soon. Probably I will not get it up until Thanksgiving weekend (ie the weekend of the 24th-27th of November) when I will have no classes on Thursday and Friday.
