Maybe we did get off on the wrong foot, however, it's not really a chat room and most people won't appreciate chat speak.
So how are you finding your way around h2g2?

Thanks for the tip, but it's stoner slang. I've never been in a chatroom in my life.
I'm taking to it like a duck to water, thanks. You an addict yourself?

Sorry for the ignorance, but what's a stoner?
Well if you call 10 hours a day an addict then yes, maybe I am.
Have you contributed anything yourself?

Someone who watches too much Bill and Ted.
Only the 10 hours for you? I wouldn't worry, I've been known to leave this site on from the moment I wake up until my night's shuteye.
I'm more of a reader than a writer, but once I have the courage I'd very much like to contribute an entry. I see you've worked on some pages, any in the pipeline?

It seems like you could well classify yourself as an addict. There is a help page around somewhere.
A reader eh? Around here they're called "Lurkers", and they even have a club too: A588440
I have a few idea's with what I'd like to do, but nothing concrete yet. I'm usually writing stuff for a few of the project's I'm involved with, however, if ever I get get fed up lurking, who knows?
So is their anything on site that you taken a liking to?

Don't think I need any therapy just yet, when I do I'll just boobytrap the keyboard. The Lurker's club is quite a big one, isn't it? Think I'll just keep my head down and lurk extra quietly.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any new entries of yours. You seem to have mastered the pesky GuideML. Lucky you! You must be a bit more savvy than me.
I'm quite taken with the various entries on philosophy and logic, and the conversations along the same vein, like those at the Freedom from Faith. How about you? Any essential reads?

Why would you want to do that? Just go and have a we'll all be still here when you get back.
Are you having a few GuideML problems? I wouldn't say mastered, but I've got to grips with a few of the basics, I've been around a while so I thought I'd better make something of an effort. Anything I can do to help just holler.
I like to hang around at <./>Askh2g2</.>, but it seems to be silly season around there at the moment, but if you have a look around I'm sure you'll find something of interest. Are you in the U.K btw?

You must know what it's like though, go offline for an hour and there's volumes of interesting backlog to trawl through. It's hard work being nosey.
Thanks for the offer of assistance, hope you don't mind if I pester you sometime in the future. I can't see me performing a page-lift for quite some time. Yours is light on pictures, I like that.
I've been creeping around PeerReview lately(aha, one trick I do know!). I've seen what you mean about silly season though, open warfare almost.
I'm in temperamental Scotland, yourself?

I do, I often curse having to sleep. It does keep us all out of michief though.
Feel free to stop by anytime, I'd be delighted to help and if I can't I'm sure I can find someone who can. You do, why thank you.
Any reason why?
Some debates can get a little heated sometimes, but we can't agree on everything I suppose, and that's what adds to the spice around this place at times.
Scotland eh? The league is a little squeaky bum time isn't it? I'm in the U.K too, just a little south of the border. So how did you hear about h2g2?

Well, it keeps some of us out of mischief.
Why, thank you kindly, very congenial of you. Friendly place here. I think a lot of people tend to go overboard with the pictures, I don't find many that interesting so it just seems an inconvenience I suppose. Disturbs my reading.
Spice? Is that what you call it?
Tell me about it! It all seemed to be going so easily for the Gers before the break. Just a little south...em, Carlisle? It would be easier to just ask what your team is I suppose. Unless the answer is Man U.
I heard about it in an email from a friend, he's a researcher here. What about you?
