So they (the big exams) are in about three weeks and it's beginning to look rather scary. I'm hearing stories about people studying (or who studied) 8 hours a day. Geesh, my concentration won't last for that many hours int he one day. I'm meant to be doing physics right now, come to think of it.
Then the Olympics are just one big distraction. There's always something on tv, there's always another medalt o be one, another famous face about to race, another event to go to. Other years don't have this problem.
Oh well. So I don't do well in my HSC, it's nowhere near the end of the world. There are other opportunities, other chance. But tell that to my parents.

Just don't freak out about them and you'll do well. Be yourself. Study for whatever amount of time you can realistically achieve something. Then stop for a while. Then do it again. It's never the sheer quantity of study, but the quality of it.
Oh, and turn the telly off when you *are* studying; and - the one thing I really learned at Uni - you can't study by the pool. You can try, but you can't do it.

Keep going, JJJ...! You're right about there being 'other chances', but it's best to take the ones you can see before having to create others.
What's the deal with these 'exam' things, anyway - I thought they were considered far too old-fashioned nowadays...!

Every college student in the world is now staring at you in that "I WISH" way, Hypo.
You also can't study in a group of friends unless one of you is really organized and the take-charge type and the others don't mind. Our study groups always wound up becomming ice cream and gossip groups.
