Mothers wisdom How many do you remember?
Little Miss- Get well soon Kylie.XXX Posted Nov 20, 2003
Hi Chelle
I liked your Mothers Wisdom, although my mother was a little different, i think she just liked to slap us round the head.....
For instance, if i made one of my sisters cry she used to
say "Are you happy now?"
If i said "yes" i'd get a crack & the out come would be the same if i said "no" I COULDN'T WIN!!
Then she used to ask us these ridiculous questions.....
"Do you want a smack?" (oh, yes please, make me bleed!!!)
"Do you want to go to bed with no tea?" (erm....yes please starve me of food & human contact)
& when she caught us up to mischeif..."What do you think your doing?" (I thought i was giving the walls a fashionable new look with my crayons & felt pens, Why? don't you like it??)
Oh....those were the days

Hi Lynsey
You were just like me when i was younger.
I am the eldest of 3 girls, but you wouldn't think so.
I was always getting picked on by my mum, always have done and still i do.
Mom i have been sleeping on the couch for many years, it's been that long i can't remember when it started.

Nats
I too am the eldest girl, i have 3 younger sisters & one older brother
I got on with my mum, until i hit my teens & then it seemed she resented me having fun, she seemed to blame her bad childhood on us & didn't want us to have fun!
When i got my first boyfriend she was VERY jealous & tried to make things difficult for me! Hence i left home at 16 & grew up very fast & got wise to her ways, now she has left my dad, she has favoured her "new life" for that with all but 2 of her kids!
Bully for her eh?
She's the one missing out on her granddaughter & her unborn grandchild

Hi Lynsey
I was just like that aswell, but i was 18 when i left home.
I got myself a flat not far from home, so i could stay in touch with my sisters.
My brothers already left home by then, cos they both got married.
Now they all have children, and they hardly see me just like my sisters and brother.
I really do wish that my older brother was still alive, cos i really got on well him more.
When you said you got on with your mum, how often did she cuddle or even hug you?
The reason why i am asking is, i never got any of them.
I always use to wonder why she bothered having me, cos i never ever got that at all.
Oh i did off my dad, and i wish that he was still alive today.
She is going to miss out on her grand daughter, when i get her back from her adopted parents.
I have told everyone about this, an and now i am going to tell you.
You see i was raped when i was 19, that is when my daughter came along.
I put her up for adoption, cos i thought that she didn't belong to me.
I am going to see her next year, so i can not wait.
The only thing is she is in Australia, so now my new boyfriend is paying for me to visit her.
for going on there, but at least it is off my chest.
Thank you for listening Lynsey, here is a bar of in appreciation.

Nats
To tell you the truth, i don't remember getting hugs off my mum, she seemed very cold towards me! She always said i looked down my nose at her, maybe it was just a case of i didn't agree with the way she treated me! She always had depression & used that as an excuse for everything, my dad wasn't affectionate either, he like the drink you see! & my parents always argued, not violently but there was alot of shouting!
I cry sometimes, although i am 21 i sometimes just wish i had my mum, you know to go shopping with, for her to spoil her granddaughter!
I could never do what she has done & just forget about my child, she moved to Norfolk & sent me a hurtful letter accusing ME of treating HER badly, what a joke! She put in the letter that she wants to be left to live HER life, i thought, to a mother, her kids WERE her life!
Your story is very sad, & i understand why you did what you did, they were very difficult circumstances you were under!
I'm happy that you will be reunited again, as i believe a mother & daughter should always be in contact, its just that my mother lives in a very selfish world!
Well i'm off to my eyes out now, as my hormones seem to have got the better of me!
s to you

Oh Lynsey
I guess we are in the same boat as each other, and now i am ing.
Depression is really bad i know, cos i have been there.
I was on tablets for it for a long time, but i guess i got out of it.
Now and again i get depressed, but not enough to go back on tablets.
I am going through the menopause now, and i am on tablets now to ease them a little.
I am on 2 lots on the sa same strip, one is a dye incase i get cervical cancer, with me being young.
The other is to prevent my bones from bristling, and to help the flushes.
I had the flushes lastnight, and they were horrilbe
Anyway enough of my moaning now, i want tt to be happy today despite my aching joints.
I hope to hear from you real soon.
Take care cos i care.

Yeah i guess happiness is the only way to go forward
You do seem to have really pulled out the short straw in life haven't you hun?
It kinda puts things in perspective though doesn't it, when you have a hard time, it just makes me want to make my daughters life 10 times better than mine! I would NEVER blame her for what i went through!
Oh well, life is but a toilet that we flush every day, get rid of the muck & replace it with fresh water! A weird philosophy, i know, but thats me all over

Hi Mom Hi Lynsey
I agree aboy the toilet flush, you flush and new water comes into it.
It's just like life all over.
I have pulled through everything with help from my cousin, he has been there through everything.
I wouldn't swap him for the world, cos he is the best thing that has happened in my life.
