today marks my 25th birthday. i have been around this world for a quarter century now. in this time the united states has had six presidents. utah, my home state, has had four governers. cars have gone from large gas guzzling beasts to fuel effecient or even gas electric hybrids. technology has surpassed anyones expectations in a very real sense. people from all over the world can now communicate with each other in real time and in a myriad of ways. telephones are the size of a pack of cards or smaller and can last weeks on a singer charge to their batteries. television has the ability to cover any breaking news story in vivid detail. sports broadcasts have special effects that have never been seen before. the population of my home state has doubled. but in this time war has not been abolished. events of the last two weeks have shown that the united states is ripe for attack, and thousands have died in a catastrophy that has never had it's equal in the 225 years of this country's history. what will the next twenty five years bring... this is all i can ask, please let war be obsoleted and the people of the earth come together to make this a better place to live. let the governments of the world unite to remove teh spectre of terrorisim from teh face of the planet and let the peoples of the world realize that violence only can beget more violence. perhaps my young age is tainting my outlook with an overly idlyic hope for the future. 25 years ago people though that the new century would bring peace and bliss to the world. 25 years ago we had the idea that we could be on mars. in these last 25 years we have made unforseeable leaps, but we have slipped back 50 years in the last two weeks. if it please you, please pray to your deity that this crisis can pass with a minimum of loss of life. espically of innocent life. i am trying to find hope and light in this world right now. i have been able to find a very small amount, but not what i would really lke to see. may the next twentyfive years bring me a family and happiness. may it bring you love and happiness as well.
thank you,
marvin kent white junior. circa september twentyfirst nineteen seventy six....

Happy belated birthday to you!
Happy belated birthday to you!
Happy belated birthdaaaaaaayyyyy to you!
Now go eat some monkey poo!
Hey, it ain't Shakespeare, but it's from the heart!
BTW--you're sounding awfully like an OCF (hee hee! a mysterious acronym!) in the first part of this journal entry. Are you sure you're not a 75 year old stuck in the body of a young stud?

No, but you sure look like him! (ba-dump-bump)
Did you know the highest I've ever bowled was a 99? And that was while flaming drunk?

aiming fluid is what my team calls it. Doug cannot bowl without it, I never drink anough to make a differnece and Hugh loses track of the pins when he drinks.

Glad to meet you.
I dropped by your page as well and I see that you have not yet authored an introduction or anything. I do hope that you enjoy the guide. Please feel free to ask any question. I can either answer it outright or I will find an appropriate outlet for the answer.
BTW, my name is Marv as you may have discovered.
