h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Yup, the Rintaro animation shot straight to the top of my all time favourite animated film list when I got the dvd. My jaw nearly hit the floor when "I can't stop loving you" struck up. Stunning film, even though we were on Fritz Lang (another one of my favourite films anyway) I can't help praising the anime when someone mentions it.

on a SLIGHTY different note, are we returning to the Film boards, or still boycotting them? did the 'thing' we discussed get implemented?

It hasn't yet no, I have made a reappearance of sorts but I'm pretty much only posting on the LotR board. Could keep my anal retentive nose out any longer Hopefully the THING will be implemented soon. I'm still gonna post here though, its more relaxed and we can post at night.

My fav scene is the creature swimming around behind the official. That looked amazing on the big screen. The real star of the movie is the city.

I went to one of those factory outlets the other day and in the toy store they had a collection of movie action figures being sold off cheap. One of them was the robot from Fritz Lang's Metropolis!!!
I never thought they would make one and if it had looked anything liked I would have snapped it up - but it was a very poor repo.
