Tea and a Natter
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Oct 3, 2007
the tropics! It must be great living there, with warm sunshine all year round Do you have bananas growing there?
It's not very tropical here in the UK and winter is my least favourite time of year....i think i'm allergic to the cold
Aah, so you access the site from your workplace? Alot of people here do that I don't have access to a pc at work.

Bananas, pineapples, papaws and numerous other exotic fruits.
You will be absolutely fascinated (if you haven't already visited the tropics)
I know the UK weather well since I studied at the University of Aston in Birmingham. I spent nearly 8 years in your beautiful country studying two diciplines: civil engineering and geology.
I have ADSL at home and on my mobile phone funnily no internet connection in my room at office.

That would explain why your written English is so good then. Birmingham is a good two hour drive from my part of the country.
I like Pineapple, i've never tried Pawpaw; is it the same as Mango?
Which country do you live?

Remember, when it comes to horticultural matters I am awful. Yes, my favourite fruit is also pineapple. Papaws are similar to mangoes but the "flesh" is not fibrous, and, papaws have numerous little seeds as opposed to the single large seed in mangoes.
I expect you to guess from where (on earth I come from) ask a few of probing questions.
Have you been to the tropics ??

Thats ok, i know enough about horticulture to write a book
I'm sure i've seen pawpaws over here at some point. I will have to try one next time i see them for sale.
I've only ever left this country once, when i was young. That was to go to Malta for a holiday.
The tropics covers such a large area!
Do you live on a small island?

Yes !!!! you found it out from somewhere
I was planning to give you a big clue before signing off - in that your cricket team is currently here in Sri Lanka !!!
Sadly, they lost the first match
See ?? the wildlife here includes elephants, leopards, bears all kinds of hoofed animals - the works !!!

No i did'nt, i knew the topics has alot of small islands so it was more of an educated guess
I'm not surprised our team lost, they always do when they go to another country
You are so lucky to have that variety of large wild animals. The biggest wild animal we have here is probably the badger, followed by the Scottish wildcat.

Great guess !!!!
I thought you had an "elk" up north and what about foxes ?
You will obviously love the flowers - like orchids that grow without much fuss.
OK madame I must take your leave it's 1.00am and it's well past my bedtime.
Please keep in touch I shall take the liberty to give you a nudge -
Sweet Dreams !!!

Heavens, i totally forgot about all the deer we have here. Fallow, roe, red and muntjack deer. Foxes tend to be rather scrawny compared to the badger. In times past, there were also beavers and bears, sadly they were hunted to extinction
I'm sure the flowers are beautiful, with the temperate climate

I don't watch any sports, or keep up with whats going on in the sporting world. I guess that makes me in-different to any wins or loses
