Let's see...
1. Hitchhiker's Guide Series--Duuuuh. They've pretty much changed my entire perspective on life itself
2. Ender's Game Series--Orson Scott Card has an uncanny ability to describe some of the most abstract people things and situations and make you think, "Man...why didn't I think of that?"
3. Series of Unfortunate Events--Any author who constantly tries to talk you out of reading his books must be worth something Delightfully dark and dreary.
4. Anything Dave Barry--If you've been through upper level American History in High School, Barry's "Dave Barry Slept Here: A Sort of History of the United States" is a must read. Made me cry so hard from laughter I couldn't breathe!
5. Harry Potter Series--Yes, I'm a Pothead. Love them, I'm a veteran fan 'cuz I started reading them when the 1st one came out, and I'll ALWAYS love them!!
6. Dirk Gently Books--Unfortunately, there's only two and 1/4 out, but I love them just the same Wonderfully Adams-esque!
7. 1984--Gorgeous book, but it scared the bejeezus outta me I loved it!
I can't think of anything else at the moment If I do I'll let you know

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
