I always remember my grandad saying "charity begins at home" and then thinking what a selfish attitude to have, ok everyones entitled to there own opinion how ever i didn't agree with it (an still dont), so me an my younger sister made a pledge to do as many things as we could to raise money for charity.
now my sister is a hairdresser and once every year she does a sponsored head shave, last month she shaved 22 cliants heads in 6 hours an raised £894 68p which was donated to cancer research.
also this year all the kids in my dance class did a sponsored dance off, where they had to dance for 3 hours non stop, they managed to raise just over £400 which were donated to the Sheffield MME GROUP.
Me and my sister both have a lot of fun arranging these events, an so do the people who take part.
I think it's great how people can pull together an raise money for a good cause, and i think we all should take some time out of our busy overflowed lives stop and just give a little bit back, at least once in a while wether it be giving up some of your time or hard earned cash. OOOh now im just jabbering.......
