If it's definitely going to be summer that you're going to be here then, I will probably be in San Diego then. Any time afterwards and I might be in any of four different Californian cities, starting a PhD programme.

July, most likely, one way or the other.
It will be good to see you, Ste.

July, did I say?
How do Monday 8th September - Tuesday 9th September sound? In theory we would arrive on the Monday, and stay over on the Tuesday, leaving on the Wednesday.
All together our California dates are:
Monday 1st September - Tuesday 2nd September - Sacramento, CA
Wednesday 3rd September - Thursday 4th September - San Francisco, CA
Friday 5th September - Sunday 7th September - Los Angeles, CA
Monday 8th September - Tuesday 9th September - San Diego, CA
I know you won't know till much nearer the time... but keep a space for us if you can.

Did July fall by the wayside?
I miiiiiight just be in either Riverside or Irvine at that point, starting up my PhD. What's for sure is that I won't be in SD. But then again, I'm still thinking in my British sense of scale that says that something 120 miles away is a long time to travel. Either place is only just over an hour away from SD, so cool. Whatever happens to me, I'll be there. Planning on seeing anyone else there? Coloner Sellers/Blatherskite lives around San Bernardino, which is Riversidish....
Anyway, have to rush, burritos to pick up, movies to watch.
I'll tell you more or my recent antics later. I've been a busy boy.

The short story was that the only way we could see ~jwf~ was to see him at the end of July - which is why everything else got shunted on a month or so.
We were coming to San Diego to see you - if you are further north, that will just make our lives a little easier, we can hang out in San Francisco or LA longer. We will be seeing Blatherskite, Montana Redhead, Courtesea, SaturnGirl, and Amy the PaperLady, and xero, but probably not all at the same time.
We can finesse the details nearer the time. *Much* nearer the time. To be honest the only reasons we have done dates this far ahead are to make sure we can actually do the trip in the time allocated, and to warn folks of roughly when to expect us. I am assuming that we could end up running up to three days late if we run into mechanical problems with the van.
So - it will be great if we can meet you - and if we can't - well - shit happens.
Take care, and have fun. 'Busy' sounds interesting?
Ben
