h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Although I've had this account for quite a while, this is the first time that I've had a chance to put anything down on paper ( so to speak ). This is partly because I haven't had internet access at home, but mostly because, like a lot of people who claim that they write, I spend a lot of time not writing. At all. ( Having said that, I've just heard that a writer that I used to know is doing things like being flown over to Luc Besson's film company in France to speak to them about script ideas. It's useful to have people in your life who are doing better than you. It [ should ] give you a kick up the arse and propel you along. In theory )

It suddenly occured to me today that I could have a sister I don't know about. Randomly. I haven't seen my father in well over ten years, and while I've pretty much frozen him in time - unemployed ( I think ) and single, it is true that his life could have been completly changed since then. I have no idea. I've always somewhat liked the idea of having a sister, older or younger, I don't know, and it's intresting ( to me, at least ) that I'm thinking in terms of sister, as opposed to brother.

And it's also just occured to me that I'm writing this journal as A) a kind of free-form writing excerise, and B) an excuse to avoid any 'real' kind of writing.
