I was watching Ultimate Formula 1 last night on Channel 5 where they were running through the advances made in F1 and the technology that is now being used.
There was one comment which was made that intrigued me to say the least and that was that the amount of down force created by the cars today that they could, in theory, drive on the roof ... any validity in this comment? The argument was that the down force was so strong that it would be able to overcome the effects of gravity and the weight of the car.

I've heard that too -- so long as they keep up a certain speed they could loop the loop in a tunnel. . .

I also heard about that.
But then again, I was watching Top Gear, so it might not be 100% true.
