h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

petal by petal gracefully falls to the floor,
each one shed as fresh as before
the head tilted
the stem gracefully bent
the boy picks it up
his hair messy and unkempt
his eyes are sunken
his features withdrawn
a barely perceptable smile at his lips
the limp form
rotating in his fingertips
the vase inside is discoloured
the water filthy and unchanged
he tugs at his cloak
and is soon rearranged
a pocket is opened
a hand delves inside
a book is pulled out
the cover dusty and dry
idly he opens it to about mid page
savours the flavour of the dust disturbed
placing the blackened form in the page
and so it is inturned
the book is closed swiftly
without mallace or rage
the cloak is reopened
the book is replaced
a trace of life appears briefly
in the haunted face

But i think this is beautiful.
It has brightened up my day even tho i am in pain with my gums.
Im into poetry myself and i write me own aswell.
I like Patience Strong, now she is a good Poet i can tell you.

yes i write my own and it comes when it comes so i get it down as quick as i can. I dont use my first name any more because my father found me and read through the last 3 years of my life and used it to hurt me and my mother a great deal so i had to delete that account

I have been busy cleaning my kitchen cos the council have put new cupboards and new sink in, and everywhere was all dusty.
