Hello, any comments on this welcome!

I haven't yet got beyond plain text and smileys in my h2g2 skills, but if I could put in links I should try and find the Dept of Health guidelines on in-hospital resuscitation and perhaps the GMC guidelines on withdrawing and withholding treatment.

If this entry isn't appropriate for the Guide then please let me know.

I think this article is eminently suitable for the Edited Guide. As a layman it seems to lay out the facts in a plain and simple manner without getting to emotive. I would leave it where it is for a day or two till it is finished and you have the necessary links in, then get it in Peer Review where it will probably get a wider audience.

To enter a link in GuideML use the following syntax:

BBC Information on DNR

The “BBC Information on DNR” bit is free text that will show up in the article as a highlighted hyperlink.

Dont forget the matched pairs of <> at the begining/end and >< iether side of the free text.

I also think this is a good article with some sensible points.

I think you could put it into Peer Review as it is - it will get more feedback there. There are a few medics on site and it would be interesting to see what they have to say.

I think the title is maybe not as clear as it could be - how about "not for CPR" - discussing a difficult decision - or something like that.

One point I didn't get - is "not for CPR" the same as "do not ressucitate"? - this is the term I have heard more frequently used.
