Whoo hoo, I replied. Worked this setup out. Have a look at my reply to you. Can't be bothered to write it all again!

Yes, I did see your reply, thanks! (It would have come up under my discussion list - only I have 'unsubscribed from the conversation' - and will need to unsubscribe from this one too - so that it doesn't appear on that list, just in case any nosey mods are trying to track Pan down! God, you would think I was such a *bad* poster the way I've been treated on here! Oh, I dunno, it's like being back at school - all v.silly!)
Yep, no kidding about me and 'A' We thought it was going to be impossible getting in contact, posting on PoV, as there is no PM system on the BBC boards - but then we found h2g2 ....! (Not exactly private, but no-one's really going to bother to look!) Anyway, 'A' is just as grumpy as ever .. thinks that's what first attracted me to him on the boards! Nah, he's ok really Funny, he used to get so many people's backs up on the boards, but I could see a different side to him! It's been really difficult though, me living down in Sussex and travelling to see each other for a year, then me renting various places then moving up here. The place we are moving to today will be the fifth time I've moved in the space of 18 months .
Are you into photography then, posting on a photography site? I'm very much into it too - recently joined my local camera club. Its a nice, friendly one - not all snobby as they can tend to be! I've been meaning to set up a Flickr account to upload all my pix - well, I have the free version, but need to upgrade sometime. Is it Flickr you are on? Facebook is great too, I spend a fair bit of time on it, but seeing as I only have a few friends () on it, its not very active!
Just checked out that thread you mentioned .. hah! That looked like fun! I've seen a pic of you once before though (with a santa hat on!) PoV is quite a fun board, isn't it? Sounds like it could be really dull, but you get some right nutters on there sometimes - always good for a laugh! Much prefer it to the Archers board - what tends to happen there is that they are nearly *all* in contact with each other offboard (they have meets and stuff) which all sounds very nice, but get on the wrong side of one of them and they will all start emailing each other like fury and gang up on you! (Stupid lot!)
So I'm sticking here mainly, but I started up that Word for Word game over there, so just go over there post on that one now.
Anyway, bye for now!

Photographers! There are some right snobby ones who get all poncy about correct this and that, I'm just a keen amateur. I submit to some stock photography sites, where they sell cheap royalty free pictures for people to use in certain ways, posters, articles, leaflets, websites, factsheets etc. Can be hard to get a pic accepted, they are pretty strict about noise and composition, but it's a good way to learn. Been doing it for a few years now.

Hiya! Hope you didn't think I was ignoring you - haven't got a great internet connection right now, have had to go onto dial-up during the move and its like drawing teeth!
Wow, really impressed with you getting your pics accepted for 'proper things'!! Can imagine how fussy they might be, so even more impressed! I'm always a bit disappointed with mine as they always tend to look grainy, but then that may be more to do with my laptop screen than anything - have to be honest, have never had any of my pix printed since I've gone digital (too stingy!) Do you have a specific subject matter, or general? Mine is quite varied, probably just about anything apart from photographing people - that's not something that really interests me too much, although I enjoy looking at pix other people have taken. Mine are mainly just places I visit, but I particularly like taking photos of architecture, or things like bridges, etc, as that can be good for symmetry and patterns .. also like taking pix of flowers, but like to try and do something a bit different with them, rather than just photograph 'as is' ..
Anyway, catch up with you again soon .. am still drowning in boxes at the moment!

Well, GG - that was all pretty short-lived - A and I have just split up, if you remember that time on the word game and how he got stroppy with me for apparently ignoring him, and then he said to you something like "enough of the relationship counselling", then imagine that I have had to put up with that sort of attitude from him for about two years now, you can probably see why it has ended up like this. I don't know what on earth I was thinking, moving up here to be with someone like that - completely isolated and hardly know a soul here. Great innit?
Cheers - Jan

Nooo! I don't believe it. There was I, thinking how great it was that you got together after being BBC mates for all this time. Blimey what a palava, what with moving and all.
Was it really that bad, or are you both just a bit long in the tooth to take on new relationships, you know, got used to your own company? I know I got used to mine a long time back when I had a spell without a partner for a few years. But you'll get back into the social circles, you wait and see. Join a club or something, get some girlie mates to hang out with.
Where are your cats?
