I quite like the idea of the Midwich Cuckoos all grown up.

yes, one of those 'I wonder what if...' thoughts that has actually been brought to fruition! The feel of the comic is good as well. Ah well, always a sucker for a dark future fantasy, me.

Ah. I just did a google search to see if anyone had written an entry about Freakangels yet, and this thread came up.

In case you don't know (but if you've been keeping up you probably do) there's only three episodes left till the end of the story, I think. High time for an entry methinks.

I don't know if I'm up to an entry right now, however.

Well, I was searching in order to find out whether an entry existed already, in the hope that it doesn't so that I can write one.

I'll see if I can get started this evening. It would be great to have you input as well. I'll let you know once I've got something to look at.

I'm made a start at A85930644. I'm already referring to Freakangels in the past tense, because by the time this gets anywhere near the <./>FrontPage</.> it will all be over.

Personally, I think reference should be made to Wyndham's 'The Midwich Cuckoos' close to the beginning -- if I remember correctly, the inspiration for the whole thing was a moment of wondering what the Cuckoos would have been like if they'd grown up.

Actually, I've never read it. I've heard of it, and know a bit about it, but I've never actually read the thing. So I've added a bit about it from a position of general ignorance.

Just so you know, Geggs, I've started rereading the Midwich Cuckoos and it's really good, and the influence on the webcomic is clear very early on.

If I find anything really specific to mention, I'll start a thread over at the entry.
