OK, OK, I've just gone and performed all the *permission* thingies for iChat. Still no you or anyone else. Just to get it right, you're addy for IM is your name @ hotmail, no? Mine is my first name and initial with2k added @ mac.com? I'm confused now.

Problem solved. I'm on iChat which is AOL or AIM based. It doesn't support Yahoo. I don't know why I didn't figure that out when I put in your IM addy, but so it goes. I may add Yahoo software to my Mac but I've heard it's a bit buggy and likely to draw unwanted visitors. I'll find out about that and get back to you.

Okay - does that mean it doesn't do Hotmail (msn) either?

Right, I'd have to install Yahoo messenger because the one Mac supplies is iChat which is only compatable with AIM (AOL) or other iChat users. One more clash in the PC/Mac cold war.

But I've stored your addy and I'll try to find out about this software (I downloaded the installer, thanks for that). I'll be baaaaaack!
