Heimdall (who used to be Spread Your Wings)

My practice turned into something I’ve never expected. First of all I “over practiced” the next day was horrible. We finally got our uniforms, masks and weapons. It was really interesting. But for me it was something different, I had to overcome my fear of being hit and also fear of hitting people. It took me 20 minutes to get used to hitting my opponent. What should I do with fencing now?

It was a very exhausting day. After Wednesday’s practice I couldn’t even lie in my bed without being hurt. There were so many things to do. In the evening I met one of my neighbors and after talking for ten minutes we just snapped out. It’s all about overloading ourselves. Things we did that I think everyone should do at least once in his life:
1. Raced on each hallway (on every floor) in our dorm building.
2. Did the same only skipped.
3. During all the time we wore silly hats.
4. Skipped all the way to the campus center.
5. Raced up the escalators (the wrong way).
6. Skipped all the way back getting a remark from a policeman “Girls, you are WAY too happy!”

It happened that I spent six hours with one of my friends. We walked around the campus at night talking. It seems strange to me, from what I’ve heard, he seems like a perfect guy. I didn’t even know that there are people like that. I mean, who would be ok with saying that he keeps a journal, doesn’t drink or smoke and likes sad movies. The other thing that’s unusual about him is his height. I’ve never had a friend who is almost as sort as I am… It is comfortable to just walk near him… Um, yeah… hope that doesn’t mean anything, otherwise that would be something I don’t want to repeat again.

Notes on the book: FROM DOWN BELOW
Subject: Why is it good to be a short person.
Points:
Easy to hide, they won’t see you from above
Short people like high places
You can fit into small spaces
You don’t have to duck when other people have to do that
Your hands are smaller so you can be a better craftsman
