h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Aww - if I lived near you I'd lend you a bloody good camera - I have the one Uschi uses but have bought a new one so it's no longer used!

I haven't posted on CB yet but in April Anne and I hit 35 years and are going across USA by train for 3 weeks - New York to Frisco - all stops in between!
In late March my daughter goes to Thailand for 12 weeks with a girl pal and I am fretting.
When are you off and for how long?

We're off week tomorrow for a month; as said - things bit sad at the moment - day after Keith had booked the flights Beth phoned(grrr) Gaz to break up with him; theyd been together over 3 yrs and it hurts sooo much to see him so devastated......

He'd also just taken on a cat from the rescue center (in fact Beth and he had chosen the cat together.....) - anyway, we've had to have the vet to Charlie twice (the runs... everywhere but more concernng is the way he attacks us - claws and teeth into legs every time we move! We had hoped that he would settle but our vet thinks that he will get worsre not better as he becomes more confident - and that he shouldnt have been given to us in the first placeAs you know, I have mobility probs and issues with bleeding; I've taken to wearing boots at all times (and not high heel sexy ones atthat!) - so, with much despair,the decision has been made- by Gaz -that the cat will be returned to the RSPCA tomorrow.All in all neither Keith nor I feel very much like 'holidaying' while Gaz is so low.
As background I should add that he suffered a bad bout of depression a few years ago after his mate was murdered....


I'm sure you and Anne will have a wonderful time - sounds a fantastic trip. We;ve just reached 30yrs

Where in Thailand will your daughter be travelling?
