I'm not too familiar with any Chinese people, but all the Korean women I know (and know of) are hugely into beauty treatments. They don't tend to go for skin lightening though - but then I've never seen any with really dark skin.

I had a 'beauty treatment' once, it was a gift, and I hated them poking in my face with a needle or whatever they used.
