Hello, welcome to h2g2! My name's Dr E Vibenstein (but you can call me EV, everyone else does). I'm one of the Assistant Community Editors, so if you need any advice on anything h2g2 related, feel free to ask!
I don't think I've met any Polish researchers on the site before, but we do have researchers from all over the planet, so I'm sure you'll be made very welcome. If you want to know more about what you can do now you're an h2g2 researcher, have a look at the <./>Welcome</.> page, or if you're just looking for somewhere to go, try <./>askh2g2</.>, or come and have a drink at the virtual pub - A187508. You can also click on the h2g2 logo in the top left corner; this will take you back to the front page, which gets updated daily with all the latest goodies.
Sadly, Douglas Adams, who invented the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and wrote the books, died in 2001, but before his death he was actively involved with the h2g2 site - his personal space is still active at U42. It would be a fitting tribute if you could contribute something to the guide - try searching for some topics that interest you, and if there are no current entries on those topics, why not write one? If you're interested, have a look at the <./>writing-guidelines</.> page for an idea of what we're looking for.
Thanks for joining h2g2, have fun!

There! Thanks for activating your page, Sophie. I told you someone would pass by and greet you properly. Allow the good Dr EV to lead you through the vast h2g2 world or just stop by my page and ask questions. I promise not to think that you are brainless!
I see from your introduction that you teach. Me too. I also see you may already have an answer to your question. I told you the h2g2 crowd are knowledgeable.
Welcome, Sophie!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
