Re: flash cookies, the only thing I found to work to deal with them is: http://objection.mozdev.org/
~Go to it whilst using firefox, install and then restart firefox, and run the thing (tools/objection), and you can delete all the flash cookies 
(althouogh my fav tool, C-cleaner looks* like its dealing with macromedia stuff, it doesn't really get rid of them ) 
(having said which, there was one folder left, with flash cooky in it; from the bluddy BBC of all palces.... which I had to delete manaully 
)
