Today marks the first day I have ever really met someone on the internet. Usually when chatting and writing on the internet I hide behind my handle, more or less anonymous.
But here at h2g2 it's a little different. Because this is a site where posting your thoughts on the world and your own life is encouraged, people tend to come out of their shell and show themselves.
So I met someone today online.

I don't understand. I was just wanted to a journal entry today, and I thought it was interesting enough to warrant one. Glad you're happy though.
It is just odd how I treat the internet, and today was the first day I was able to treat it as myself instead of a made up name. SetupWeasel is equivalent to Joe Maywalt for the first time and I'm happy, because I can be myself online and still be accepted. I always felt I couldn't. See what I mean?
