h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well, I had a speech to give in my public speaking class today, and it went horribly.

In an effort to keep the speech "extemporaneous" (or more accurately in a lack of effort to do any real work for this assignment) in many parts of the speech I had decided to ad lib. Unfortunately, I forgot what a nervous wreck I am.

As I stood up there, stumbling and stuttering over every word (yes even the 26th amendment that I tried to read verbatim from my note card), I came off very badly.

Let this be a lesson to you, don't EVER speak in front of an audience unprepared when you are the kind of person whose leg involuntarily shakes from the sheer terror of being in front of a podium.
