Clearly, seventeen players is going to be our limit. You can't ALL have Jermain Defoe and Joleon Lescott (although I notice that some perfectly good players remain on the list).

Anyway, everyone's got quite a bit of work left to do: Skankyrich has come out best so far with nine players, and Alfredo Marquez only has three, although in terms of outright bargains, my money's on Egon, who has picked up Phantasy bankers Lennon and Adebayor for next to nothing.

One player is barred from the second round - that is Jonathan Woodgate, who attracted identical bids from two managers in round one. So only those of you that bid for Woodgate in the first round can bid for him again now.

Deadline for the end of the second round is midnight Monday (or sooner if you all get your act together).

Looking at my squad, I may only have got four players, but they're certainly a good base- gerrard, Adebayor, lennon and lampard.

You do seem to be monopolising the England midfield somewhat.

Don't knock it. A penalty-taking midfielder is gold dust in this game, and Egon's well overdue for a good finish.

In fact, he's never even finished in the top three. Hell, even Psycorp's managed that.

Outbid by 3 million for my star player of last year. i'm happy to have a reasonably balanced core though here's hoping I can fill the spaces to the same standard.
