I'm currently wondering what to spend the disposable portion of my next month's pay on. Currently in the running -
A Telecaster (which I'll play twice, then abandon)
A new swivel chair (nothing wrong with the old one, bar a bit of wear and tear)
A printer (for what, exactly?)
Save it
Or I could get an air conditioner. Balls to climate change, I'm sweltering. And it's not even June.

I'd go for the air con every time. Tonight I'll have a fan on full blast two inches away from my head.

I would suggest you visit me in South West France & buy a 2nd hand Telecaster here at Easycash, then we can jam away til the wee small hours. Voila: Drunk, deaf & sunburned all at the same time. Shite hot curries & total lunacy obviously part of the package deal.
zdt*searching for the batteries....i found the Kleenex though*

Air con, of course. I've never *not* had at least a window unit (and now we've got central, thankfully).
Barring that, if you buy the Telecaster and don't wind up playing it, at least you can use it to fan yourself on hot summer nights.

All good ideas, the trip to France particularly. I do need a holiday. I've got a fan, but I have to sit in one spot all the time if I want to stay cool. The Telecaster option is gaining ground though.

Ah, they are very open minded about such stuff as nudity in Frogland, anyway, you can always position yer guitar strategically!
They don't tend to go in for Air Conditioning, but they do have fans.

It's still mercifully cool here, Chris; we've only needed the aircon one night so far. But it won't last much longer, I'm sure.
Have you made up your mind yet what to blow your money on?
I've got a shopping list of my own, but it changes with some frequency. One reason why I always wait a couple of weeks after I've decided I want something before I go out and buy it. I often change my mind, or at least re-prioritize. For the moment, the most important thing on my shopping list is storage bins and media shelving of some sort.

It's turned 'kin freezing again here - and forecast for cooler. Sunny, though.

Partly sunny-ish here, but not entirely so. Fairly close to "overcast". But at least I'm not sweltering.

Prettly chill and drab here, but I'm home now.
Think I'm going to blow my wad on a Telecaster (copy) after all. But I have to keep some aside for bits and pieces I'm likely to end up needing. I'd still like to go to Latitude on the Sunday. Though with no opportunity for time off until I've found a decent temp*, I may have to be up for work the next morning.
*I take over as manager next week, in all likelihood.

I think he meant about the job situation, my dear.
I've heard Chris play. But not much. It didn't sound *that* bad.

I've hardly played at all since that summer we did those parties with the Portuguese guys. Hopefully I'll get back into it.
